Happy Easter!!!

God sent His son, they called Him Jesus
He came to love, heal, and forgive.
He lived and died to buy my pardon,
An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives.

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, All fear is gone.
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living just because He lives.

How sweet to hold a newborn baby,
And feel the pride and joy he gives.
But greater still the calm assurance,
This child can face uncertain days because He lives.

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, All fear is gone.
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living just because He lives.

And then one day I'll cross the river,
I'll fight life's final war with pain.
And then as death gives way to victory,
I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know He lives.

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, All fear is gone!
Because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living just because He lives!

my wish...

wahoooooo!!!  I finally got a photograph of all 3 kiddos actually looking at the camera.  I don't think that has ever happened before!!! (okay, maybe just a couple times - but certainly not recently!!!)

"My Wish"

I hope that the days come easy and the moments pass slow,
And each road leads you where you want to go,
And if you're faced with a choice, and you have to choose,
I hope you choose the one that means the most to you.
And if one door opens to another door closed,
I hope you keep on walkin' till you find the window,
If it's cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile,

But more than anything, more than anything,
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.

I hope you never look back, but ya never forget,
All the ones who love you, in the place you left,
I hope you always forgive, and you never regret,
And you help somebody every chance you get,
Oh, you find God's grace, in every mistake,
And you always give more than you take.

But more than anything, yeah, and more than anything,
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.

This is my wish
I hope you know somebody loves you
May all your dreams stay big

wordless wednesday... or not!!!

oh crap... it's Thursday... DOH!!!

tough - I'm doing a [not so] wordless wednesday post anyway... or I guess maybe it's a talkative Thursday post now ;)

here is my favorite photo of the week so far... it's not a great photo but the moment in the photo is wonderful :)  the meatballs were pretending to make snow angels - in the blocks!!!  they are just too darn funny!!!
another favorite of the week... my oldest and me before school/work on Tuesday... he's growing up so fast... and I think he looks a lot like me!!!
one more photo just for the heck of it... :)  I'm in love with my Brooks headband... this thing keeps my ears nice and toasty warm during my run!!!  Having cold ears is such a distraction for me... but not anymore with my super cool (but boring, sure wish our local running store had it in more colors than just black) Brooks headband!!! ;)
(don't judge ;) - this was after 4.5 miles in not so fun wind)

February favorite things...

my February favs... let's see...

panera bread: LOVE this place. I love their blueberry bagels. I love their chicken noodle soup.  I love their smoked turkey breast sandwich.  I love their chicken caesar salad.  I love their fresh lemon slices for my diet pepsi :)  oh, and I always love my 'my panera' card - I'm always gettin' the hook up with free stuff!!!

up&up makeup remover towelettes: I don't have a great skin care routine - but these things are a must for me every night.  They remove any dirt, makeup or whatever nastiness that's made it's way to your face.  I hate when my face feels real dry and these definitely don't leave my face feeling like that!!!

covergirl clear mascara: so, I'm gonna let y'all in on a secret of mine... I use this crap on my eyebrows.  My eyebrows are incredibly dark, long, thick and often times out of hand.  I have to use this stuff to keep them tame ;)  [ps: I'm allowed to say y'all, I lived in North Carolina for a year ;)]

and, if anyone wonders where my crazy eyebrows come from... take one guess...
love you LOTS dad!!!

goody stayput hairbands: these freaking things ROCK!!!  they don't move what.so.ever during any of my workouts and they come in a ton of cool colors :)

mossimo tank tops from target: I have 2 white ones, a black one, 2 beige/tan ones, a green and navy stripped one and an aqua one.  I always like to have a cami/tank top on regardless of what I'm wearing and these are by far the most comfortable and cheapest ones I have found!!!

sweetFrog: YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY!!! Lemme tell ya, if you've never been to a sweet frog, get your tush to one today.  I love this place :)  My favorite is a mix between country vanilla and chocolate with a bunch of cherries, a few mini chocolate chips and some waffle cone pieces... (okay, some hot fudge too!!!)

'training' weeks #5-8

I'm kicking myself in the butt for a few different reasons in regards to this half-marathon -
1. I should have found and stuck to a legitamate training program
2. I should have been running outside intead of on the treadmill
3. I should have found a friend to train with

I'm still very pumped up and excited about the race but I am also very terrified.  My 'training' began well but I pushed myself way too hard and didn't pay attention to rest and nutrition.  The past few weeks have been a struggle - both physically and mentally - and because of an extreme lack of time. (yes, I know I should make time but that's pretty impossible when you have 3 young kids and when you work about 45-50 hours a week)

here is a re-cap of the past few weeks...

week #5

Tuesday, Feb. 5th: total 7.13 miles total
that felt pretty darn good ;)

Thursday, Feb. 7th: 4.18 miles total

Friday, Feb. 8th: 2.5 mile run - eliptical, 40 min.

week # 6
Monday, Feb. 11th: 4.19 miles total
Friday, Feb. 15th: 4.28 miles total

week #7
Tuesday, Feb. 19th: 5.12 miles total

week #8
Tuesday, Feb. 26th: 8.12 miles total - LONGEST RUN SO FAR - WORD!!!

Thursday, Feb. 28th: ??? total - likely around 3 miles

pretty darn sad given I only have 5 weeks left to train...
but - hey - 5 is my favorite number right?!?

my goal for March... get my rump on the ROAD.

grab bag...

things have been kind of crazy around here (who am I kidding, when are they not!)
sorry for the lack of posts and photos...
here is a random mix of photos over the past few weeks!!!
Gage and Gabby are both sick today... poor meatballs.
that's one of the hardest things about being a mommy - not being able to make them better instantly.

my oldest is OBSESSED with ice hockey... the kid will wake up and run downstairs, turn on the tv and check all the hockey scores from the night before so he can give us the rundown.  Seriously, he carries his hockey stick with him everywhere and is constantly talking about a flyers player or someone who got hurt or traded.  maybe it's time I bite the bullet and sign him up for lessons...

got a couple more posts on the way... a catch up on my "training" (ha, that's funny) and my February favs!!!
