a little behind.

It's been a few days since my last post.. sorry!  Things are very busy around here and I've been exhausted so my normal night-blog time has turned into bed no-blog time.  The kiddos are great - Gavin is quite the silly boy.  Tonight we went to Carter's and he decided to moon everyone there.  SO funny but SO not funny at the same time - I made sure to discipline him but inside I was cracking up!  His new favorite thing is to watch Sesame.Street at night.  He has actually memorized parts of the show and the promotional ads before and after the show.. is that bad?!  Gav is still a great big brother - he loves helping with Gabby and plays with her often but he also really enjoys playing on his own with his big boy toys.  He's a great kid, I hope he stays that way =)

Gabby is also doing very well!!  She is growing so fast.  She discovered her feet today and spent about 20 minutes laying on the floor holding on to her feet - so cute!  I'm hoping to try cereal with her tomorrow night.  She had been sleeping through the night but in the past couple of weeks she has started to get up around 3 - 4 a.m. wanting a bottle, so I am hoping giving her some cereal in the evening will help her to skip that early am feeding! [selfish momma, I know!]  She is such a doll - so easy going and laid back - we really lucked out with 2 amazing kiddos!

We did some crib and double stroller shopping the other day.  I really hate the thought of a double stroller - they are just so big and bulky - I have a hard enough time folding and packing up our single stroller - but I know a double stroller is necessary.  I'm also not thrilled about having to dish out money for another crib but we obvioulsy will need one of those too =)  We found a couple that we like so now I need to do more research on them to see what the 'mom' scoop is.

Okay, I'm really behind on photos so here ya go.. and if anyone would like to give me some camera pointers I am all ears.  I don't have much time to fool around with my settings and I have horrible shadows all the time - help!!

12 weeks along & 1 year ago!

One year ago tonight I found out I was expecting baby Gummy Bear aka Gabby Louise!!  I would have never imagined at this time last year that pregnancy would end with the birth of my beautiful daughter and another little kiddo would be on the way due to arrive in October.. my how God has plans so different from our own!   

 this was my second test I took (about 20 minutes after the first b/c the line was soooo faint I thought I was going a little crazy!) and that is my first belly photo I took right after I found out - and right before I just looked in the mirror and said over and over, "I'm pregnant, I'm pregnant, I'm pregnant!!"

It's hard to believe I am already 12 weeks along.. almost through the 1st trimester!  I had planned to do a long post with Easter photos but I'm not feeling too hot right now so I need to head to bed.. hopefully I will get to that post tomorrow!

How far along: 12 weeks 3 days

Total weight gain/loss: still +1 but I'm sure by the end of this week it will be more with all this stupid Easter candy around our house.

Maternity clothes: yep, no shirts, still just pants - no new maternity clothes yet

Sleep: having some troubles sleeping lately because the cyst on my left ovary has been acting up a lot and it has made it hard to get and stay comfortable.

Best moment this week: enjoying time with family on Easter.

Movement: not yet.

Food cravings: still diet pepsi/coke with lemon.

Gender: I still say boy - Steven spotted a onesie at Kohls that said "Mommy's Newest Man" - I would have bought one but they didn't have a small size - that's how certain I am this little peanut is a boy!

Labor Signs: no.

Belly Button in or out: in.

What I miss:I've been missing a lot of stuff this week - mostly my assurance in God's plan for me - I've been feeling very overwhelmed and anxious and stressed and that has unfortunately compounded many things in my life the past couple of weeks - so I have to say I miss my rock-solid faith in Christ and my once peaceful, worry-free mindset.

What I am looking forward to: my friend Ashleigh from college is pregnant and is due in September - she has her ultrasound coming up on Monday and I'm very excited about it and looking forward to hearing from her how it goes!!

Milestones: The most dramatic development this week: reflexes. Gabby is 4 months old!!

My beautiful Weeziebug is 4 months old.. where have the days gone?!!  She is still such a joy and such a wonderful little lady, we are truly blessed!  I feel like she is growing and changing so quickly - I'm excited to see her grow but it's sad at the same time - my little sweet potato is going to be walking before we know it!  

• I'm not sure how much you weigh or how long you are - we go to the doctor next week so we will find out then!
• You wear size 2 diapers - still pampers but I'm thinking about switching
• You are in size 3-6 month clothing - and you always look cute in whatever you wear!
• Laughing and smiling is a very natural thing for you now - especially if your daddy is singing to you.
• Bed time is usually around 8 p.m. - you eat a bottle, mommy puts you in your crib and you soothe yourself to sleep, it's magical!
•  You had your first overnight stay away from home on March 27th - you stayed at Grammie and PopPop's house for the night while Mommy and Daddy celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary!!
• You've begun to show an interest in some of your toys.
• You could almost care less about your paci - you'd much rather go to town sucking on your hand and drooling all over yourself!
• Sucking on your burp cloths is also a favorite!
• You are eating 6 to 8 ounces in each bottle and drink 5 - 6 bottles a day!
• Big brother loves you and is always making sure you are safe and happy.
• Bath time is still one of your favorite activities, just like big brother!
• You got to celebrate your first Easter and looked adorable in your Easter dress.
• You wore your first pair of shoes for Easter!
• Tummy time is not fun time.
• You haven't rolled over yet - but today you were soooo close to rolling from your back to your belly!
• I'm hoping to start you on cereal soon.
• I'm still head over heals in love with your cute little baby nose.. love it!!
