She is just so stinkin’ cute!
Can it get any cuter?!
I need to get moving with paying some bills so I can get up to bed, read a little then get some sleep.. I will keep this short and sweet =)
30 week quiz:
How far along: 30 weeks 3 days!
Weight gain: +13 lbs now
New maternity clothes: yes, I did get a new shirt from Kohl’s for $3.60!
New baby items: yes, I ordered a crocheted hat for him and I love it – I will try to take a photo of it and post it soon!
Stretch marks: no new ones.. thank goodness!
Sleep: certainly harder to get comfortable and to roll from side to side – potty trips have been less this past week, which has really been nice!
Best moment of the week: surprising a friend and finally putting my regret of letting our friendship fade away to rest.
Food cravings: plums.
Gender: sweet baby BOY!!
Labor signs: these stupid braxton hicks contractions are getting o.l.d.
Belly button in or out: very very close to being a full-time outie
What I miss: putting my pants on with ease; feeling ‘in shape’ – last night I had a rude awakening – our 12 year old dog can get up the stairs faster than me – NOT cool.
What I'm looking forward to: a huge pig roast this weekend with family and friends to celebrate our cousin’s 21st birthday and our aunt’s 50th birthday – it should be a blast!!
Weekly wisdom: "Put Your Past Regrets To Rest!”
Milestones: Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds, like a head of cabbage. A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will decrease as she gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. Her eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after she's born, she'll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When she does open them, she'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means she can only make out objects a few inches from her face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)
Here are some fun photos of the kiddos – recently Gabby has started to really enjoys puffs – and tonight I gave her her new sippy cup for the first time. She had more fun chewing on the cup and didn’t really get much juice but that’s okay. I will continue to introduce it to her each day and eventually she’ll be chugging away!
And how cute is my toolman?!! I think we may need to get him a tool belt for his birthday – which is less than 2 months away – holy smokes!!
Holy crap.. how is that even possible. Oh my little sweet potato is such a doll, we just love her like crazy! She is such a fun little lady and is really starting to do a lot of fun things. I’m so excited to come home after work to see her beautiful smile! I wish there was a way to prepare her for Gum Drop’s arrival – she’s just way too young to have any clue at all.
I took 56 photos this evening and they are all crappy.. they are all shots of the top of her head or of her holding her sign in front of her face.. bummer. Maybe I will try again tomorrow. I’m so glad I got those onesie stickers for Gum Drop, no more silly signs.
I am beyond tired so I am going to post photos and my normal belly stuff then call it a night. Hopefully I can post more fun stuff tomorrow but my body is telling me I just really really really need some good solid rest. [I hope Miss Gabby decides her body needs some good solid rest too and sleeps through the night!] Here are some photos from our weekend and of Gav with his new bike =) He’s so darn cute!! (I feel like a bad momma because I don’t have many photos of him but he really has boycotted my camera lately and refuses to let me take his picture.
He’s my little athlete – always playing some kind of sport – hockey, baseball, football, golf – he’s probably going to have some expensive hobbies!
Week 29 quiz:
How far along: 29 weeks 3 days
Weight gain: +12 or 13 lbs.
New maternity clothes: nope.
New baby items: none in the past week – which is good for the bank account! Sleep: blah.. awful.. but I know I get more rest than my hubbs so I should just keep my mouth shut
Best moment of the week: hearing Gum Drop’s heartbeat at the DR today =)
Stretch marks: yep – still using my lotion – still hoping no new ones appear!
Movement: oh yes! He likes to be up early in the morning, usually around 3 or 4 a.m. after I’ve used the potty – that’s his happy hour I guess!
Food cravings: honey mustard & chocolate.
Gender: BOY!!
Belly button in or out: almost a complete outie.
Labor signs: no.
What I miss: lets be honest, there’s a lot I miss about not being pregnant – I feel blessed to be able to experience growing a little one in my tummy but I’m already at the point where I’ve had enough.. and I still have 8 weeks to go before I’m even full term.. I know I can do it.. and I know it will be worth it!
What I'm looking forward to: the weekend =)
Weekly wisdom: do your best to stay on top of baby books and photo albums; it’s very easy to get behind..
Milestones: Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain. To meet his increasing nutritional demands, you'll need plenty of protein, vitamins C, folic acid, and iron. And because his bones are soaking up lots of calcium, be sure to drink your milk (or find another good source of calcium, such as cheese, yogurt, or enriched orange juice). This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby's hardening skeleton each day.
Oh, I almost forgot – here is a photo of Gabby’s first 2 teeth!! It was almost impossible to get a photo of them – and this one is still horrible – but it’s better than nothing!
can you see them?!???
